Description

Simethicone is indicated for patients with excess gas in the digestive tract. The accumulation of gases in the stomach and intestine is called flatulence , which causes abdominal discomfort, increased abdominal volume, pain or cramps in the abdomen. Elimination of gas relieves these symptoms.

Simethicone can also be used as an auxiliary medication in preparing patients for medical examinations, such as digestive endoscopy (examination of the inside of the esophagus, stomach and intestine) and/or colonoscopy (examination of the inside of the large intestine).
