Description

Neosaldine works through the action of dipyrone, isometheptene and caffeine. Dipyrone acts to reduce sensitivity to pain. Isometheptene acts both to reduce the dilation of cerebral blood vessels, contributing to the reduction of pain, and to potentiate the analgesic and antispasmodic effect. Caffeine is a stimulant of the central nervous system and has a vasoconstrictor action on the cranial arteries, being useful in the treatment of headaches, especially migraines. Its onset of action occurs between 15 and 30 minutes after oral administration and lasts for 4 to 6 hours.
